A late 19th century serving plate, part of a service made for Her Majesty's Yacht, "Victoria & Albert" (1899) and used in the wardroom. The plate is of white porcelain with blue scrolling wave motifs and gilded. The centre is adorned with a garter and buckle motif which reads 'Her Majesty's Yacht' with crown above. The underside is impressed with the maker's stamp, W T Copeland & Sons, Stoke on Trent. A rare item of nautical history and royal memorabilia remaining in excellent condition. (Some minor wear to the gilding). Date: 1899
