A rare pair of official seals dating to the period of the Second World War. Both seals have an ebonised treen handle on which is fitted a cut steel head featuring the Royal coat of Arms. The smaller of the two is impressed War Office. The underside of the larger seal is inscribed S O around a crown signifying Stationery Office. Two interesting items of 20th historical significance which would have been used to seal official documents. Both show signs of use and wear but overall remain in good condition. Circa 1940.
